In life we often focus on what we want, not on what we have. A simple example such as we already have a house, car, job, and good partners, but our minds still feel inadequate. Our minds are often filled with weights and a variety of targets. Even if what we want and aspire achieved, we strangely "not satisfied", if any sense of satisfaction at only a moment.
Not to mention kecederungan us to compare ourselves with others. We often compare our weaknesses to the strengths of others. So the feeling inferior is ourselves. When you see friends, neighbors or others who have a better life, we often feel jealous to see it. Especially when seeing our friends whose income is higher, when used together with us, or even below us, will add to the tightness in the chest just this. It is not often we often mutually job just to look great in the eyes of others. Regardless of whether we do good for our lives or not.
To better interpret the meaning of this gratitude, there is a story that I took from his writing Pak Gede Prama very interesting to us refer to. "One day, Nasrudin rushed away to meet his teacher. Once met, without asking it directly for help: 'Can I be a teacher's house of hell.'s Nagging wife, the much-in-law wants, sons and daughters and their cousins who ran noisy to and fro. Whatever my teachers would recommend to do, as long lost paradise come hell '.
Nasrudin sure will fulfill the promise, the teacher asked: 'Do you have any pets?'. With a quick call Nasrudin four geese, six chickens, seven goats, eight rabbits, and a number of birds. Therefore, the teacher asked Nasrudin entered all pets into the house, all human beings also had to be in, then close the doors and windows shut. During the eleven days not a single human or animal out of the house.
'But, but ....', Nasrudin replied with a nervous tone. Teacher swiftly replied: 'Do not forget you promised! ". And terpaksalah Nasrudin returned to his teacher's house orders.
Eleven days later, Nasrudin came with the measured far more chaotic than ever. 'Toloong teacher, please, let alone humans, even the goats had been going crazy eleven days in the house'. Wise teacher with a smile saying: 'Now remove all the animals, work together with glad, clean the house'. And some time later, Nasrudin went to his teacher's house with a cheerful face: 'Thank you teachers, the house had become paradise!'.
This is the human story of the past until now. Many home life became a hell for each other hate each other and angry. And it found a paradise just a question of choosing an appropriate comparison. If the comparison right (in comparison Nasrudin story house full of animals), the heavens opened. If the comparison is always a more versatile (richer, more beautiful, more famous, more wise) then heaven do not open ".
Finally, life was an attitude problem. Heaven and hell decide that the follow-up of attitude. When his complaints and the lack of visible hell. If his manner is patient and thank heaven that looked. Life would be happier if we can enjoy what we have. Because gratitude is the heart of the highest quality and feel is enough of our greatest assets. Hail Success!
